It's time for another installment in the "Periodic Table of the Dragons!"

Here is some info about Lead:

The name 'Lead' comes from the Latin 'plumbum,' meaning 'soft metal.'

It is a soft, malleable metal, and was used in the past for making pipes (as far back as ancient Rome!).

Lead and lead compounds have had many applications, notably it has been used not only in pipes, but also in radiation shielding, as a coloring agent in ceramic glazes and paints.

Lead is a neurotoxin (through its actions as a calcium analog), and can also cause blood disorders (by interfering with heme synthesis). It can accumulate in bone and soft tissues.
