Description
For a while, I've wanted to embark on this massive project where I use different dragons to portray each element on the periodic table. If nothing else, it will be a different way of depicting the elements than what you usually see, right?
Seems about 50% insanity and 50% love of chemistry right now.
Anyhoot, here's first of the ' Periodic Table of the Dragons ': Helium (no, I'm not doing these in order ).
Here's some facts about helium:
Helium is a colorless, odorless gas, and is the second most abundant element in the universe.
When a current passes through the gas, it glows a pale peach color.
The speed of sound in helium is 3 times that in air.
And of course, inhaling this gas makes your voice become temporarily high-pitched!
Info gathered from Periodictable.com and Wikipedia.

Awesome idea! Usually when we speak of "elemental dragons" we refer to creatures such as water dragons, but now that I think of it, water is not an element. I just hope the poor Helium dragon is able to land, however. He's not forever floating up, is he?
